Ballasting and Surfacing

ARC is equipment with a Mark IV and Regulator to perform all necessary track construction surfacing. We have a tractor trailer located locally to ensure that our machines are moved from one jobsite to the next to ensure maximum efficiency. Our operators are skilled in ensuring that all surfacing is completed properly and lifted to the correct top of rail elevations.

Regulatory Track Inspections driving Capital Planning and Multi Year Maintenance/SOGR Programs

Through our industrial crews, ARC provides industrial maintenance services and programs for numerous customers addressing inspection-identified defects as well as preventative maintenance to avoid defects. This work can be carried out in conjunction with our own certified inspectors or working with 3rd party inspectors to ensure safe and reliable operation without disruption of service. Services include rail, tie, and turnout replacements, along with track resurfacing or signals regulatory maintenance requirements.

Thermite and Flash Butt Welding

Certified Thermite Welders with the experience to complete thermite or flash butt welding on crane rail, industrial track, heavy rail mainlines, and transit rail. Completing this welding combined with destressing in the most critical components and sections of track and turnouts, is where our team thrives.

Arc Welding & Track Components Refurbishment

Certified and experienced welders to refurbish your most valued assets such as turnout components (frogs, switch points etc.) on all type of industrial, heavy and transit rail tracks.

Crossings at Grade and Bridge (Maintenance and Construction)

ARC has worked with numerous styles and engineered/manufactured timber, rubber and concrete crossings, providing complete crossing rehabilitation works, both on industrial projects and main line rail corridors. Experienced constructing and maintaining track through ballast deck, timber and direct fixation bridge structures, including various bridge component upgrade capabilities.

Right of Way & Snow Removal Services

Including vegetation (brush cutting), ditching, culvert clean outs, fencing, snow clear/remove etc.

Certified to supply and apply pesticides as per customized spraying programs, including on-track hi-rail sprayer trucks.

Crane Rail (Maintenance, Construction and Welding)

Whether on floor level or 150’ elevated, our crews are trained and experienced to safely deliver new crane rail construction and/or maintenance services.

Track Abandonments including Material Processing/Redeployment

ARC has worked on numerous Track Abandonment projects salvaging rail and ties for future use by either the customer or 3rd parties depending on the scope of the project. This is done efficiently and safely using the appropriate equipment for the specific job.

Track Protection / Flagging

An experienced team of CROR qualified individuals overseen by a operations, compliance safety and quality team to ensure consistent delivery of track protection to keep all sites and teams safe and efficient. As a pre-qualified vendor for Track Protection for Metrolinx (All Corridors), CN & CP (private sidings and yards), ARRC understands how railways operate and how to ensure task are delivered around an operating rail environment

Training (Technical, Rules Compliance, Metrolinx PTS)

ARRC is prequalified to deliver the Metrolinx PTS training required to access any Metrolinx site, showing the level of trust the ARRC team holds in the rail industry. This combined with a continuous development culture driven by on-the-job mentoring and significant training requirements, will continue to support the delivery of superior service and support to clients looking to provide their own team with rail specific training.

New and Relay Material Sales and Management

As a result of maintenance and abandonment projects as well as working with 3rd parties, ARC can supply and distribute new and relay materials as needed using both high rail-based equipment and job specific equipment such as OTM Trackers™.

Rail Shunting and Transloading Support Services

We know our customers’ operations and providing support to reduce demurrage charges or ensure you have product for your operation, is what we do. With ongoing multi-year shunting contracts in place, our crews are experienced in keeping your operation “on track”
